The AlphaTheta CHORDCAT is a compact and powerful groovebox designed for creative musicians, producers, and live performers. At the heart of the device is the unique Chord Cruiser mode featuring a huge database of up to 110,000 musically compatible chords. The intelligent algorithm automatically suggests matching follow-up chords, making it effortless to build harmonic progressions. Perfect for spontaneous ideas, songwriting, and modern music production. Thanks to the Key Locking and Scale functions, harmonically consistent results are possible even without advanced music theory knowledge.

The integrated 8-track sequencer offers extensive possibilities for creative arrangements. With up to 128 steps and 16 pattern slots per track, users can create complex beats, melodies, and song structures. The Pattern Chain function enables seamless transitions between different song sections, while the innovative Running Direction feature creates new rhythmic variations through different playback directions.

For additional creative expression, the CHORDCAT features integrated effects such as arpeggiator, delay, and ducker, all conveniently controlled via the intuitive XY pad. Sound shaping is further enhanced by a low-pass filter and an amp envelope with direct control over attack, decay, and sustain. With 145 preset sounds and 16 drum kits, the groovebox offers ready-to-use sounds for a wide range of music styles.

Thanks to USB-C as well as MIDI IN, OUT, and THRU connectivity, the AlphaTheta CHORDCAT integrates seamlessly into existing studio and live setups. The free ChordCat Manager software allows easy import and export of patterns between the hardware and a computer. With battery-powered operation offering up to five hours of runtime and its ultra-compact design, the CHORDCAT is perfectly suited for mobile music production on the go.
