Tascam US-16X08

The US-16×08 provides your computer with 16 great-sounding microphone and line inputs, as well as additional features for larger sessions. Its eight Ultra HDDA microphone preamplifiers feature extremely low input noise and a gain range of 56 dB. Of the additional eight balanced line inputs, two are switchable for direct connection of a guitar or bass. Eight balanced line outputs are used to output the signals fed back from the computer or internally mixed, two of which have level controls on the front of the device.

The US-16×08 includes a DSP mixer that enables low latency digital mixing. 4-band tone control and compressor in each channel ensure pleasant-sounding monitor mixes. In addition to using it as an interface, there is also the option of operating the device as an independent microphone preamplifier. Drivers are available for Windows and Mac OS, and thanks to USB Audio Compliance 2.0 The interface itself can be used with iOS devices such as the Apple iPad. MIDI input and output are also available.

Thanks to its slanted housing shape, the US-16×08 can be operated on a table at home or taken on tour when installed in a rack using the included brackets. In both cases, it offers enough inputs and outputs for almost every conceivable recording situation.
