Description
Eastman’s master luthiers select high quality aged spruce for the tops and maple for the backs, ribs, necks, and scrolls. The wood used to make an instrument will determine the overall quality, so Eastman starts every one of their cellos with select, seasoned tonewoods. Known for projection, this traditional Italian pattern provides an even, well-rounded tone for any setting.
Eastman cellos are made using 19th century techniques of hand craftsmanship. Since the beginning, Eastman master luthiers have built upon these honoured methods to make the best cellos available for students and professionals alike.
