Dingwall Effigy 5 Custom Headless – Candy Dark Cherry Matt

The body shape of the Effigy is a continuation of the Dingwall Afterburner series, with subtle sculpting. The body profile is inspired by the arch of a marimba bar, delivering clearer, louder and more resonant string vibrations. It’s attached to a five-piece maple neck with a wenge fingerboard, continuing Dingwall’s legacy of multi-scale innovation with a long-scale (34-37-inch) scale length. Removing the headstock and bringing the mass down to the body lowers the centre of gravity, enhancing stability. The Effigy might be your go-to instrument if you suffer from back or shoulder pain.

The Effigy’s new bridge unit (designed with Federico Pecci of Riviera Gear) combines elements from our Minimalist bridge and Riviera Gear’s vertically integrated tuning system for smooth, high-ratio performance. Tool-free string locks make string changes easy. Once the correct string tension is dialled in, cut and insert the end of the string, the lever and it’s locked in place. The tuning is super-solid; once tuned, put it back in the gig bag and it won’t need to be tuned again. The Extendable Wing System allows you to safely mount the instrument on any regular guitar stand or hanger.
